This is such a story from Pune. A businessman in neighbouring Pimpri-Chinchwa d industrial township bought a ‘gold shirt’ worth Rs. 1.27 crore weighing about 3.5 kgs. Datta Phuge, the husband of Seema, NCP member from Pimpri-Chinchwa d Municipal Corporation has become the talk of the town when he presented himself with the glittering gold shirt.
The ‘gold shirt‘ was crafted by a local jeweller and according to him as many as 15 goldsmiths from Bengal worked for 16 hours a day over a period of two weeks to make the shirt ordered by Phuge. Datta Phuge is a money lender.
